This volume is bound in thick grey/brown paper boards with brown leather spine and corners, the edges of the text block are red/brown mottled. The paste-downs and end-pages are comprised from the same heavy grey/brown paper. The front paste-down has 2 labels; On the top are "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" and "Property of the L S Trust, 1986". On the reverse of the title page is a circular black stamp with "Laurence Sterne Trust" with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" in the centre.
