Sterne. English Men of Letters. New Edition

This volume is bound in boards covered in ox-blood coloured buckram. The front paste-down has 1 label top left with "From the Library at Shandy Hall". A "Cambridge English Library" oval blue stamp is in the centre and has been crossed through with a pencil line. Next to this and written in pencil is "Sold 1967 to JCT Oates" and in KM hand "and by him given to the Shandy Hall Library 24.v.67". On the front paste-down a paper label has been partially removed "English Library Department ?". A purple ink stamp is in the middle of the title page with "Student's English Library Cambridge"; this is above the publishers cypher. On the reverse of the title page is a circular black stamp with "Laurence Sterne Trust" with "Shandy Hall Library" in the centre.
