This volume is bound in red buckram/cotton boards. The paste-down's and end-pages are comprised of decorated paper with art nouveau design. The front paste-down has 2 labels; On the top left side "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" with underneath "Property of the L S Trust, 1986". Written in pencil on the front free end-page is "Given by Peter Miller 22.01.79. Seemingly first Everyman edt." Both the frontispiece and title page have a printed border of leaves in the art nouveau style. The frontispiece has a quotation from "Sir Philip Sidney". The title page has the tile and publication details, as well as a publishers device in the centre.Written in ink on the half title page is "To arthur (?) from MS. Xmas 1914"; on the reverse is a printed list relating to "Everyman's Library". On the reverse of the title page is a circular stamp in ink with "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" inside. The Black Page is single-sided and printed onto page 25 (it has rounded top corners). The Marbled page is also single-sided and printed onto page 165 (the page number is missing). BP SSBP & MP SSMP. ND in the book, later attributed to 1912.
