This volume is bound in cream/brown marbled style buckram/cotton boards. The front paste-down has 2 labels; On the top left side "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" with underneath "Property of the L S Trust, 1986". Printed above these is a small booksellers stamp "Cha.s Smith Bookseller 25, South Hanover. St. Edinburgh". On the reverse of the title page is a circular stamp in ink with "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" with "Shandy Hall Library" inside.
