This volume is bound in cream/brown marbled style buckram/cotton boards. The front paste-down has 2 labels; On the top left side "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" with underneath "Property of the L S Trust, 1986". On the reverse of the title page is a circular stamp in ink with "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" with "Shandy Hall Library" inside. The Blank Page is page 42. The title and volume pieces are printed in blue and gold on paper which is pasted onto the spine; "Roscoe's Novelist's Library. Vol. XI. Illustrated by Geo. Cruikshank" and immediately above the tailband "Sterne. Tristram Shandy. Vol. II". Bound into the front of the volume is a smaller section detaining other publications by Valpy.
