This slim volume is bound in marbled boards, Shell pattern, with a paper spine. The front paste-down has 2 labels; On the top left side "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" with underneath "Property of the L S Trust, 1986". Written in pencil, in KM's hand is "BL says (1800?)" On the reverse of the title page is a circular stamp in ink with "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" inside. On the rear free end-page, in feint pancil is "R E P"
