Letters of Laurence Sterne.

This volume is bound in dark red/ox-blood coloured buckram boards The front paste-down has 2 labels; On the top left side "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" with underneath "Property of the L S Trust, 1986". There is also evidence that a label has been removed from the centre, possibly a bookplate. Written in ink on the front free end-page is "For the Shandy Hall Library from Richard P. Bond" and "Chapel Hill, North Carolina I.VI.66". Printed on the reverse of the title page are the press and publisher details as well as the circular stamp in ink with "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" inside. There is some pencil underlining and marginalia throughout the volume.
