The front paste-down has 2 label with "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" with "Property of the Laurence Sterne Trust, 1986" underneath. On the obverse of the title page is a circular ink stamp with "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" inside. On the top right of the front free end-page in pencil is "£1.25" and in ink a previous owners signature "WF Morrell". On the rear paste-down also in pencil is "1/587".
