This volume is fully bound in white coloured book cloth over boards, hardback with a decorated paper slip-cover. The front paste-down (western rear) has 1 label pasted to the top right corner "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall". The frontispiece is taken from the Reynolds portrait. Inside is a loose slip by Toru Kobayashi in 1986 about their translation of the text into Japanese and detailing their donation of the Japanese 'A Sentimental Journey' to Shandy Hall. Duplicate copy in Eliza's room cupboard.
