This volume is fully bound in dark purple coloured book cloth over boards. The front paste-down has 1 label on the top "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall". On the reverse of the title page is printer information as well as a circular black stamp with "Laurence Sterne Trust" with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" in the centre. Underneath the frontispiece photograph of Clifford (not captioned) is "James L. Clifford" written in thick black pen.
