The Hymns, Anthems and Tunes with the Ode used at the Magdalen Chapel. Set for the Organ, Harpsichord, Voice, German-Flute or Guitar.

This volume is half bound in leather with marbled boards (Nonpareil Pattern) and leather points. The front paste-down has 2 small white labels pasted onto the top left corner "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" with underneath "Property of the L S Trust, 1986". Written in pencil is "Same imprint as another KM copy but a different engraving throughout". Stamped on the reverse of the title page is the circular stamp with "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" and inside "The Kenneth Monkman Collection". The frontispiece is a copper-plate depicting and entitled "A Magdalen in Her Uniform". The music is printed as copper-plates, note the impressed borders. The spine has 5 raised bands with blind tooled lines either side. The title piece is in the second panel, on an ox-blood background in gilt impressed capitols is "Hymns".
