This volume is fully bound in glossy decorated paper covers. The front inside cover has 2 labels on the top "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" and "Property of the L S Trust, 1986". On the reverse of the title page is publication and printer information as well as a circular black stamp with "Laurence Sterne Trust" with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" in the centre. The frontispiece depicts Viktor Shklovsky in 1919 and is taken from the portrait by Yury Annenkov.
