This volume is bound in the original blue paper covers. Written in ink on the top of the front cover is "Vol.n 4th T. Shandy". Written in pencil on the top of the front free end page is "KM Copy 1a". On the reverse of the title page is a circular stamp with "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" inside.
