The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman. Volume V. First Edition

This volume is bound with dark blue Combed Paste Paper covered boards with a leather spine. Written in ink on the top of the front free end-page is a previous owners signature "J. Philipps". Laurence Sterne has signed the top of page 1 "L. Sterne". On the reverse of the title page is a circular stamp with "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" inside. The rear paste-down has a series of notes, written in pencil by KM relating to the collation, size and watermarks within this volume. See original notes.
