The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman. Volume III. First Edition

This volume is bound in boards covered in marbled paper (Turkish Pattern) with leather spine and points. The end pages are comprised of single sheets of marbled paper (Turkish Pattern, but different than the board papers). Pasted onto the front paste-down is a small green label "J.B. Morris", this is pasted on top of a pink label (it is unclear if this is the previous owner of Bookbinder). Written in pencil on the reverse of the front free end-page is "KM 1". On the reverse of the title page is a circular stamp with "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" inside. Written by KM, in pencil on the reverse of the rear free end-page are a series of notes relating to the errors, collation etc of this volume; see original for details.
