A York Miscellany Compiled from Records of the Past Four Centuries.

This volume is fully bound in pale blue coloured book cloth. The front paste-down has 1 label on the top "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall". Written in ink on the front free end-page is "H Monkman Dec. 25th 1938 From Kenneth". The frontispiece is a drawing of "Lendal Tower". The title page is decorated with the scrollwork border of A. Brown & Sons. On the reverse of the title page is printer information as well as a circular black stamp with "Laurence Sterne Trust" with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" in the centre. In gilt capitols on the spine is "A York Miscellany" to the head. "I.P. Pressly" to the centre and "A. Brown & Sons LTD" to the foot.
