The Natural History of the Horse; To which is added, that of the Ass, Bull, Cow, Ox, Sheep, Goat and Swine. With Accurate Descriptions of their Several Parts, and full directions for Breeding, Chusing, Feeding and Improving, those useful Creatures.

This volume is fully bound in mottled/speckled leather and the edges of the text block have red mottling. The front paste-down has 3 labels;at the top is the bookplate of "Rich.d Sterne" . Underneath this is "From the Library of Kenneth Monkman at Shandy Hall" with underneath "Property of the L S Trust, 1986". Written in ink on this page is "John Day" which has been crossed out and also "1810". On the reverse of the title page is a circular stamp in ink with "Laurence Sterne Trust Shandy Hall" with "The Kenneth Monkman Collection" inside. The Advertisment page is after the title page. There are various pencil annotations on the rear free end-page. Contains explanation of technical words at the back of the volume.
