Description

This, the first volume of a seven volume set, contains ‘Some Account of the Life and Writings of Mr. Sterne’ and Tristram Shandy 1-3.

The marbled page is double-sided and has been created by pasting pieces of marbled paper onto an unnumbered leaf at the end of the volume instead of between pages 270 – 271.

Donated by Dr David Crocker. Previous owner’s signature on fly-leaf ‘Wm Bishop.s Book 1782’ inscribed in ink.
